Welcome to Tixall Bowling & Social Club
Situated close to the centre of Oxton Village, The Club was founded in 1885 on land given to the Club by the 19th Earl of Shrewsbury. The name is derived from his wife's estates near Stafford (Tixall Hall gatehouse still remains).
As well as crown green bowls the Club also has teams for billiards; snooker; football: men’s darts and ladies darts leagues. Plus there are a variety of social events thought the year. The Club also has a large screen projection system for premiership football & other sports.
The sympathetic management of the site by members' means a stroll up the path from Heathfield Road reveals a little known oasis.
Full membership is open to all over the age of 18 years (Junior members from 14 years).
